Draycote Water – Cycle, scoot or walk around the reservoir, have a bite to eat in the cafe, bird spot or play on the playground. Herbert Art Gallery & Museum – Free admission – The current home of Dippy the Dinosaur, the Herbert never fails to disappoint. This half term The Herbert is brimming with hands-on activities, inspiring workshops, and immersive experiences for all ages, join in Crafting Magic & Myths, Microworld Coventry, the amazing interactive exhibition. Market Hall Museum in Warwick – always has something on offer for families. This half term you can enjoy Stem Day on Tuesday 18th Feb, free and no need to book for science games, crafts, Scalextric track, make a marble run or challenge yourself to build a museum object from Lego. If you’d like to attend a 45 minute workshop for ages 7+ ‘super circuits’ you’ll need to book here and the cost is £5+ booking fee.

Oakley Woods – Grab your wellies and explore Oakley Woods, jump in puddles, build dens and breathe in the fresh woodland air. 

Sheldon Country Park – A plane spotters haven, Sheldon Country Park is perfect for walks, play and plane spotting they literally fly over your head! Recommended time after time by our Mums.. technically it’s not Warwickshire, but hey… Sheldon Country Park is made up of 300 acres, has free car parking, Old Rectory Farm, a mini farm, which is also free and there’s a playground near the main entrance off Ragley Drive, Church Road, Sheldon, Birmingham, B26 3TU Click here for more

Warwickshire Libraries – It’s easy to forget that our local libraries don’t just house books! During the colder months especially they can be a cosy haven to spend some time. All libraries have activities running during February half term and this year’s theme is Dinosaur Week! Check out the dinosaur activities here or perhaps you’re looking for a code club, lego or chess. Click here for the activities!

Alpaca Walking – A wild card for you! What about something a bit different? Middle England Farm in Henley in Arden offer Alpaca Walking, Goat and Bunny and Guinea pig experiences. Click here for more details. You could also give Faerie-Tale Alpacas in Kenilworth a try but at the time of posting there was no mid-week availability, only Sat 15th & Sun 23rd Feb 2025.

British Motor Museum – This half-term’s theme is Craft, Code, Create offering families science shows, game coding and an Art Bot. There is a charge for entry but all activities are included AND you get the rest of the year for free when you do! Sounds like an investment to us! Click here for more info.

Compton Verney – Nestled in beautiful surroundings is the stunning Compton Verney, there’s always something happening for families there and this February half term there’s Welly Walks, ‘The Big Brick Build’, Makers Lab and ‘Beyond Blocks’. Some activities are included with your entry and some are an extra charge. Discover all the events here.

Magic Alley – Perfect for young people ages 10 and over this new solving event The Collector opens on Saturday 15th February in Stratford upon Avon. Booking open online here

Naturally Baby – Warwick. Various workshops for children ages 8 upwards including Create your own tote bag, Tic Tak Toe felt game and Build a fairy house. Discover the workshops and events here.

Warwick Arts Centre – A little too much to list there’s so much going on! In brief,(all individually linked) Paddington Bear’s First Concert, Pirates Love Underpants, Rude Science Live, Mini-Creatives (Tuesday from 10.30am) multi-sensory space for ages 0-4, Workshop Wednesday (Wed 19 Feb from 1.30pm) finds artist Adele Harrison from CovCloth exploring ways to change the way we use textiles through fashion and living.

Warwickshire Country Parks – With a vast array of Country Parks across our area brings lots of choice and activities for children and young people available to book now. From building bird feeders to cooking on campfires, there’s something for everyone. Click here to book before they’re all full!

Warwickshire Wildlife Trust – Discover various activities including, Frosty Fairies and Wintery Wizards, Teeny Tiny Dens, Campfire and Hot Chocolates and Den Building at Brandon Marsh, Coventry and Parkridge Centre, Solihull. Booking open online here.

Warwick Racecourse Fiver Friday – Friday 21st Feb – Children go free with silent disco in the Paddock Pavilion. Book in advance tickets here.
