Advent Calendars for adults!
Forget the kids! Will you be treating yourself to an advent calendar this year?
Every year Christmas just seems to evolve doesn’t it? In 2018 you might have an Elf, a Christmas Eve box, special plates for Santa’s mince pie, matching PJ’s… oh the list is endless. So I’m delighted that after all the effort we put in to make Christmas magical for the children, there are now grown-up options!
Step forward.. the adult advent calendar! Gin lovers, make-up artists, candle addicts.. oh there’s something for everyone…. as long as you either know someone very generous, OR have a healthy bank balance!
Here’s a round up of some of my favourites so far!
Charlotte Tilbury
If you’re a beauty lover Charlotte Tilbury has dubbed hers the “MUST HAVE” of the year. However … you only get 12! Must be the 12 days of Christmas! Yours for just £150 English pounds! See more info here.
Boots No7
If you’d rather a bargain beauty box, Boots No7 calendar has been cleverly pitched at £42 making it one of the most reasonably priced on the market. Available to buy tomorrow (Friday 19th October) Boots have managed to ramp up the hype with clever marketing of ‘limited stock’ and a reported waiting list of 88,000 people… who by the way, if you believe The Sun .. managed to crash the website today during the pre-sale. Details here should you wish you try and bag it for yourself tomorrow..
Birch Box
The Birch Box beauty advent calendar is at least going for 24 days! (Take note Charlotte!) Boasting treats from Benefit, Sand & Sky, and Lumene (I must be getting old.. I only know benefit haha)
£65 bags you a selection worth over £179. (So £179.50 then?) Click here for the Birch Box calendar
25 Days of Advent from The Body Shop
£65- I quite like it because it’s cute! There’s an owl version too! Apparently this has 24 beauty favourites from Bath & Body, Skincare, Make up, Haircare & fun Accessories (am wondering what the accessories are!???)
Yankee Candle – £25
I love candles and this calendar never fails to disappoint! Christmas scents, a daily treat! Buy here on Amazon
So here we are Gin lovers…
John Lewis think they can trick you by calling it a Gin & Tonic calendar meaning you get one gin and the rest Tonic! You’re not fooling me JL … we were all hoping for a breakfast tipple throughout December, which is exactly what I’d expect for £95!! Click here to see it.
Fear not though as other gin companies will provide you with just what you require for some festive ‘spirit’ (ho ho ho)
B&M is reportedly going to be selling a gin calendar for £30… nothing on the website YET
Or! You grab this one.. which (and I have checked!) has gin behind every door! That’s more like it!
Happy GIN-VENT from Master of malt ltd

Sainsburys and ASDA will be selling Cheese Advent Calendars, these will reportedly cost between £8 & £10 and will have to be kept in the fridge (obvs).
Debenhams Coffee Advent Calendar – £25
Coffee! Now you’re talking! click here for more info.
Whittards
This Whittard’s tea calendar boasts 94 tea bags! That’s 3 and a half cups every day on the lead-up to Christmas. A lovely gift idea if you’ve got £60 to spare.
