Exciting opportunity for young people aged 6 – 9 years old to perform in balletLORENT’s Snow White at Warwick Arts Centre.
Leading dance theatre company balletLORENT is inviting local children, aged 6 – 9 years old (max height 130cm), to apply to perform with them in their lastest fairytale, Snow White, at Warwick Arts Centre on 18th, 19th and 20th February 2016. No previous dance training or experience is required, and 12 children who audition successfully will be chosen to take part in rehearsal workshops and perform on stage with professional dancers.
The company is encouraging anyone interested to complete an easy application form for an audition place. All audition application forms must be completed and returned no later than Tuesday 10th November 2015. Those interested can download an application form from the Warwick Arts Centre website here. BalletLORENT will invite those successful at application to an audition on Saturday 21st November 2015.
This is a very rare and unique opportunity for enthusiastic, energetic and creative children to perform in a professional dance production with one of the UK’s leading dance companies. Liv Lorent, balletLORENT’s Artistic Director says:
“We’re looking for children aged 6 – 9 years old, both boys and girls with lots of energy who enjoy being creative. They don’t have to have any dance experience, just plenty of enthusiasm and to be comfortable with the challenge of performing onstage. As a company, we really enjoy encouraging young and natural talent.”
Snow White follows the award winning and critically acclaimed Rapunzel (2012 – 2015), Directed and choreographed by balletLORENT’s Artistic Director Liv Lorent (MBE) and retold by Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy, the second of the company’s trilogy of fairytale productions premiered at Northern Stage on the 16th October 2015.
Snow White is Co-produced with Northern Stage and is a Sadler’s Wells commission.
